Where can I find my USPS Confirmation Number?

Last Updated: Apr 13, 2018 05:09PM EDT
Once the USPS has finished processing your mail forwarding request, they'll be sending you an official USPS Confirmation Letter to your new address. Your USPS Confirmation Number will be included in that letter so keep an eye out for that in your mailbox within 1-2 weeks of submitting your mail forwarding request. This is the number you can use to edit or cancel your mail forwarding request in the future.

Haven't yet received your USPS Confirmation Letter but would like to check in with the USPS regarding status of your mail forwarding request? No problem! Just stop by your local post office, provide them with your ID, and they'll be able to help you out.
